Our year-end tournament, the Jimmy Naylor/Bruce Cornelius Memorial Tournament* will be held in November at Contra Costa CC.  The low Net scorer wins the Naylor/Cornelius Memorial Trophy, where they'll have their name engraved on the perpetual trophy along with past winners.  Great appreciation and thanks go to our Treasurer Peter Mankin for hosting us at Contra Costa.

Those who cherish the game of golf consistently regard this historic course (100 years old this year) in Contra Costa County as the best in the area. With a newly redesigned RTJII par 72 layout, it's a joy to play. Diablo and beyond. Come early to enjoy the just-redesigned Practice Area, with huge 9-hole putting course and practice green, expanded range and new short game area.

*Jimmy Naylor was a patent attorney in the 1930's and 1940's and a great joke teller.  Bruce Cornelius was a real estate attorney and LJGA  Board member for more than 35 years until he passed away in 2021.  And yes, the Lawyers and Judges Golf Association has been around since the 1930s.
