Half Moon Bay Golf Course 2025

A great day at Half Moon Bay, by far, the highlight of the day was Rob Hamburger's hole-in-one. It came early in the round on the par 3 third hole. Rob hit a 9 iron on the 118 yard hole. It was Rob's first hole-in-one, and some well-deserved shouting was heard on nearby holes. After the round, the early finishers were in the bar of Mullins Steakhouse when Eric Ingraham saw Rob's 1 on hole number 3 on the live scoring App. Word spread fast, and many hung around to congratulate Rob, and for the traditional hole-in-one drink. This was the club's first opportunity to execute our new policy on hole-in-ones, which is for the club to buy a round (well drink) for those in the clubhouse with the hole-in-one player. We had over 3/4ths of the field in the clubhouse to celebrate with Rob. The club will also present Rob with a plaque at the next event at Sequoyah C.C. on May 8th

We had some other winners besides Rob's closest to the hole on #3.  But in honor of Rob, we'll start there.

We also want to thank Branly Cadet for suggesting Half Moon Bay as a venue.  Judging from the turnout and post-round chatter, it was well-received.  I've heard from a few that they prefer the Old Course.  If you do too, let me know why, and if you think it would be better for our club.
